GHANDIS EVENTYRLIGE BILLEDER 1986 Århus festival
This was the first time we came together as a group, in a large scale production. The group did not yet have a name. Professor Leif Lort had made a deal with a festival in his hometown Århus… They found a huge abandoned factory building for us and we went to work. It was a wild collage of many people’s individual visions, held together by the music by the magnificent Peter Leander, who brought his Gongs and many other instruments.

Locals and musicians from Copenhagen came together in the large orchestra. Tibeth-cult-ish-Goth-Gamelan… P.H.

Live birds in the costume. P.H.

One central image in the performance was this. A huge seagull flew over the audiences heads, halfway a naked man was shat out of the end of the bird. The man dropped to the floor, where he extinguished fires by rolling around in them. This was apparently something that Leif Lort had dreamed of doing for a long time. This was the forum to do it… P.H.

“Store Michael” (Big Michael) was throwing large heavy objects around and finally picked up the bleeding and scorshed Leif Lort up and carried him away. P.H.
